My name is Dr. Anthony Centore, Founder and Therapist of Thrive Arlington Christian Counseling, and I want you to know that even if you may feel you’re hopelessly lost, even if you’re in the deepest pits of despair, even if you feel that you deserve no forgiveness or mercy – you can have a better, more fulfilling life.
All you need to do is reach for it, even if it seems impossible right now.
Jeremiah 6:14 explained the situation well. It says "They have healed the brokenness of my people superficially, Saying, 'Peace, peace,' But there is no peace."
Perhaps you may find strength in your faith, but find yourself faltering when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds with problems like depression or anxiety. Perhaps you feel uncomfortable with the ‘sanitized’ and ‘godless’ approach that typical counselors use to ‘treat’ you of your problems. Perhaps you may even feel a sense of guilt and self-loathing for not being able to live up to the tenets of Christ’s teachings.
Such a situation reminds me of the story of Job, where his "counselors" were convinced there was some sin in Job's life that caused his suffering--they could not have been more wrong!
Each person’s problems and suffering is unique to his or her own situation, but it is very likely that you can relate to one or more of the following Common Life Problems: depression, anxiety, self-image / self worth issues, and relationship problems or marriage conflicts. Too many of us suffer and hide from our problems, afraid that we would be ostracized or pushed away by others who share the same faith. Even worse, there is the possibility of spiraling further and further into despair if we find that we are not able to live up to the standards that our faith has set. It then becomes a vicious cycle that feeds on self-loathing and suffering.
So who can you turn to for emotional, behavioral and cognitive healing while respecting the spiritual side of you that you lean on?
We at Thrive Arlington Counseling believe that life is too precious and valuable to be destroyed by problems. We respect your faith, and we take measures to make sure that your faith becomes an integral part of healing. Many research studies have shown that faith and spirituality help people through some of the most difficult times of their lives, while giving them better and healthier lives. Thus, we at Thrive Arlington know how important it is to respect and acknowledge the power that one’s faith and spirituality has over one’s life.
We keep strict professional standards, and we do not simply ‘ride along’ with our Christian clients: we make sure that your faith is respected and integrated in the counseling process. Thus, we at Thrive Arlington have specially trained Christian Counselors who know how to integrate the Christian faith into the counseling process, and we make sure they are Board Certified Professional Christian Counselors.

I, and the Arlington Therapists who work with me, offer our clients something that most other mental health care services do not. And that is our attention to time.
Time is of the essence. You deserve help, need it, now. Not a year later, not a month later, not even a week later. If you call us today to schedule your first session, you can get your first therapy appointment with our professional counselors in just one week. We can also manage to get our clients on the same day that they call, so your precious time won’t be wasted on long waiting lists.
This standard of management is unprecedented for a counseling practice anywhere in Arlington, and we are proud of our professional standards of punctuality and properly managed scheduling: all to provide you with the best counseling services that you deserve.
There are times when we are simply busy helping other clients. So if we are unavailable, do not feel as if we are rejecting you: leave us a message and we will call you back the very same day that you called us – often within the hour.
We at Thrive Arlington acknowledge and respect the role that faith plays in your life. We can help you overcome whatever problems you may face not only from a clinical and therapeutic frame of thought, but from a frame of thought that works with and respects your connection with Christ. So call us at 617-395-5806, and we’ll help you take the first step towards spiritual and mental healing.

And if you decide to take the first step to a brighter future, we at Thrive Arlington will be able to schedule an appointment for you this very week.
You can get a better life for yourself: this is our task at Thrive Arlington. We don’t offer ‘magic solutions,’ nor do we offer ‘one-stop shopping’ to help you get the better life you deserve. We work with your Christian faith to handle things professionally, with your best interests in mind, and we don’t rely on clichés and formulas to do that. We will understand your problems, and will do whatever it takes to make your life better, happier and more fulfilling in lieu with Christ’s teachings.
